About Sylvia care

Sylvia Care, founded by Kai Bernard, emerged from her decade-long experience in the healthcare industry. Her journey began when her New York-based grandmother fell seriously ill. Kai promptly flew from London to the United States, dedicating an entire month to caring for her grandmother. During this time, her grandmother resided in a nursing home, where she observed the daily interactions of fellow residents. Surrounded by many elderly individuals, she gained valuable insights into their lives and social dynamics. This profound experience ignited her passion for caregiving and paved the way for her career in the healthcare sector.

In her initial four years, Kai worked across numerous care homes, encountering a diverse range of individuals with varying illnesses and care requirements. However, her path took a significant turn when she transitioned to **live-in care**.

Across the entire United Kingdom, she provided personalized care within people’s homes, dedicating weeks, and months to each individual. This shift from managing multiple residents simultaneously to focusing solely on one person marked a pivotal moment in her caregiving journey.

After working in various elderly people’s homes, she observed that the spouses of healthy, physically active clients led admirable, incredible lives compared to those who were inactive and consumed less nutritious meals. Additionally, she noticed that clients with better diets experienced slower deterioration and enjoyed a higher quality of life.”

Inspired by her observations, she felt compelled to establish her own care agency. Her vision was to provide care that not only addressed immediate needs but also offered additional health and physical benefits. Through her agency, she aimed to enhance the well-being of clients by combining compassionate care with strategies to promote overall health.

The name Sylvia care was Inspired by her observations and fuelled by admiration for her grandmother Sylvia on her father’s side. A remarkable lady who even received a reward from the queen for her kind actions and continues to perform countless kind and caring deeds within the community, and across the world with her charity organisations. Through Sylvia care she aimed to carry forward her grandmother’s legacy of compassion and service, providing care that not only met immediate needs but also enriched lives with additional health and physical benefits.
